Based at our Harpenden site, you would work on a multitude of IT systems and software including PCs attached to specialist, scientific equipment. We deliver our IT Services with an emphasis on the continued provision of secure, data driven services. Predominantly working in a Microsoft and Dell-based environment with some Apple devices.
This is a 3 year fixed term, varied role which offers a fantastic opportunity to further develop your career within a research based organisation. You would be supported with a dedicated training path in a specific area such as cybersecurity, infrastructure or Microsoft certification. Opportunities to work on projects enhancing systems and updating services working in conjunction with the Head of IT Services will also be offered.
Any experience within the Cyber Essentials arena, MS InTune or mobile device administration at an enterprise level would be an added bonus.
Interviews will be held on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of September 2025, ideally in person at the Harpenden location, AL5 2JQ. If you are shortlisted, you may be invited to take part in a video interview using MS Teams. We endeavour to give candidates as much notice as possible however some interviews/ assessments will be organised at short notice and will require a degree of flexibility.
Your starting salary will be £26,573 per annum, in accordance with the salary scale for Grade C. In addition to your salary you will receive a taxable non-pensionable market rate allowance of £3,000 per annum. This allowance will increase to £4,000 per annum upon satisfactory completion of your 6 month probationary period.
