Overview Of Role

Lawes Agricultural trust (LAT) are looking to appoint an individual with experience of working in an Estates and Facilities environment to join our busy, small, friendly team as Estates Projects Manager. 

The role will be responsible for the planning and day-to-day management of various estates projects, primarily in our residential units. The post holder will play a key role in the management of the Trust, supervising and role modelling for team members, working closely with all stakeholders, in particular external contractors and suppliers, Rothamsted Research (RRes) and Rothamsted Enterprises(REL) colleagues, and Tenants, to aid in the successful pursuit of common goals as a part of one coherent campus. 

The role will require experience with supervision and project management of building works and ongoing services with an in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and involve good written and oral communication and planning skills, have an open and collegiate approach and be comfortable working as part of a team as well as being able to manage own time and projects effectively.

Ideally you will have experience of using project, property and facilities management software plus Research, Implementation and Management of new Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system and co-ordination of processes with other on-site organisations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, a good understanding of Estates services, and experience of working in a Facilities department with contractors.  You will have excellent IT skills and the ability to maintain quality assurance processes and systems, with an enthusiastic and positive manner and the ability to work to deadlines with have great attention to detail and accuracy

 The post is fixed term for 12 months attracting a salary from £27,000- £35,000 per annum dependent on experience. 

LAT offers 25 days annual leave per annum, plus bank holidays; generous pension scheme with 10% employer contribution minimum and 5% employee contribution.
