Rothamsted Research has a great opportunity for you to join our IT Services Team as a 2nd level IT Helpdesk Analyst with responsibility for the delivery of IT Support to specialist, scientific and operational areas throughout the business. With our cutting-edge laboratories, experimental farmland, more than 500 staff of 35 nationalities across four locations in southern England, the successful candidate will provide advanced desktop computing and IT technical support for onsite and remote workers who deliver world leading science and business operations across the institute's campuses.
The majority of your time will be spent working with the IT Helpdesk Team, handling incoming calls and providing first class support for users on desktops, laptops and mobile devices. You should have support experience of the latest Microsoft operating systems and Office 365. Some Mac experience would be beneficial, as would an appreciation of Cybersecurity requirements and video conferencing within a corporate environment. The successful candidate will also be involved in the quotation, configuration and deployment of new and existing devices across the institute as well as decommissioning equipment and legacy systems.
