We have an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional to work closely with our Head of Procurement to drive our procurement strategy, policy and procedures across the business whilst promoting best practice and compliance in line with the organisation’s values and UK government legislation.
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a procurement officer or related position, the ability to negotiate, establish and administer contracts and knowledge of pricing and markets to effectively procure. Experience or knowledge of using e-procurement or e-sourcing tools is desirable.
The CIPS level 4 qualification or above would also be desirable, together with having worked in a category focused procurement environment including tendering, contracting and negotiation. You will have the ability to recognise non-compliance and understand its impact and be able to work proactively to support business users and suppliers.
There will be plenty of scope to get involved in new procurement initiatives and in the management of end to end procurement projects of medium to high value.
This is a full-time 3 year fixed term appointment with a salary in the range of £29,842 - £32,315 per annum dependant on experience.
