Overview Of Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Rothamsted Research for a post-doctoral scientist to work in a cross-department project involving the Wheat Pathogenomics, Chemical Ecology (BCP) and Seed Quality (PS) groups. Working on the chemical interactions between wheat and a soil borne fungal pathogen.

We seek an analytical chemist or biochemist with expertise in mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, and liquid chromatography. A working knowledge of wheat - fungal interactions although an asset is not an essential criterion for this role. 

The successful candidate will show evidence of working at an international level.  Technical and methodological skills related to the post together with proven experience in designing and delivering research projects is essential.

This is a full-time fixed term appointment to 31st May 2022 offering a salary in the range of £31350 to £32315 per annum.

Interviews will be carried out during the period 20th - 21st May 2021.
