Overview Of Role
A Post-doctoral Scientist is required to join a group working on the improvement of wheat quality, including quality for processing and human health. This forms part of a larger collaborative programme with the John Innes Centre. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research programmes and will have an opportunity to develop new research within the broad interests of the group.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of plant biochemistry and practical experience of modern analytical techniques, particularly applied to grain composition and quality  Previous experience of plant carbohydrate analysis, particularly dietary fibre components, will be an advantage.

This is a full-time fixed term appointment to 31st March 2022, offering a salary in the range of £29,842 to £32,315 per annum.
