Overview Of Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Innovation Administrative Assistant to join Rothamsted Research on a part-time basis for 14.5 hours per week; to include a full day Thursday and full day Friday each week as part of a job share.

This key role will be responsible for providing administrative and project management support to the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) - funded “AgRIA” (Agri-Tech Research Innovation Accelerator) project. The job holder will report to and support the AgRIA Enterprise and Innovation Project Manager in the running and reporting of this project in accordance with the guidance and contract conditions.

Duties will include: management of calls; managing the gateway process to entry into AgRIA such as due diligence tests and checking project templates, maintaining and checking all financial transactions and procurement, ensuring projects are complaint with state-aid conditions, arranging and supporting business management meetings, taking notes and minutes, organising follow-up activities and ensuring actions are followed up. The post holder must be highly proficient in financial management and be highly organised and meticulous in following correct procedures.  

The successful candidate will have previous experience of management and maintenance of appropriate workflow systems, and financial administration. Confidence in organising business meetings, workshops, networking events, and managing customer relations. Together with experience of managing inboxes and diaries. The ability to manipulate large amounts of data, high attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills are essential.
This is a fixed term appointment until 30 March 2021.
