Overview Of Role
A new opportunity has arisen to work in the IT Services department as a member of the Service desk Team. The post holder will be responsible for providing IT computing support to staff at both our sites and to remote workers.
 

As a Helpdesk support engineer you will bring the relevant experience and be able to provide advanced technical support to users across the institute. You will also provide support to other members of the team and should be familiar with the latest developments regarding Windows Operating Systems, Apple iOS and Office 365.

You will also provide CAD services as and when required to support the Rothamsted Facilities Department and be able to create, amend and print both 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and be a proactive problem solver at anticipating potential issues.

The role will report to the Head of IT and will be part of a team dedicated to providing first class support to its user community.
This is a full-time position, with an initial fixed-term contract of 3 years with a salary in the range of £24,225 to £26,573.
