Overview Of Role
Rothamsted Research Finance Department is seeking to recruit a Management Accountant to provide a key interface with our research and support departments. The post holder will support project leaders throughout the research grant journey from the award of funding to post award reporting and support Heads of Departments in the overall financial management of their departments.
 
The successful candidate will have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and be a proactive problem solver expert at anticipating potential issues. You will be a full or partly qualified member of a recognised accounting body and whilst some knowledge of the research funding environment is desirable it is not essential.
 
The role will report to the Head of Management Accounts and will be part of a smaller team dedicated to supporting research. This is an exciting time to be joining the Rothamsted Finance Department with an opportunity to shape the future with a new ERP system due to launch on the 1st of August 2019 and a real focus on producing high quality outputs and finding practical solutions. You will be joining a friendly, committed team of fourteen who wish to make a difference to the running of the institute.
 
This is a full-time position, with an initial fixed-term contract of 3 years with a salary in the range of £29,842 to £32,315 with an increase upon successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.
